DHI Mortgage Company, Ltd. (“DHI Mortgage,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) uses automated technologies including artificial intelligence in connection with certain loan products and services we provide, including to assist with decisions that may have legal or similarly significant effects. For purposes of this notice, “automated technologies” means technologies, systems, tools, models, or processes that use automation to analyze personal information, generate outputs, make recommendations, support decisions, or make decisions. This may include artificial intelligence (“AI”), machine learning, algorithms, profiling, automated decision-making technology (“ADMT”), and similar technologies, where applicable.
How We Use Automated Technologies
We use automated technologies in our loan origination process, such as to evaluate your eligibility for our loan products and services, to set the pricing and terms of the loan products and services we may offer to you and to power AI chat features to guide you through the loan application process. The automated technologies process certain categories of your personal information to provide us with reports, recommendations, or other outputs related to your loan application. The outputs generated by automated technologies in loan origination are used to inform our credit decision and the terms and pricing of any offer extended to you. We may disclose your personal information to third-party model providers only as necessary to provide our services. We do not use your personal information to train or improve generalized AI or language models, and our agreements with model providers prohibit them from doing so.
The categories of personal data used by automated technologies may include:
- Contact information (name, address, email address, or phone number)
- Transaction information (social security number, government issued identification number, insurance policy number, income, assets, liabilities, other financial information, payment card or banking information)
- Credit information (credit reports, credit scores)
- Commercial information (property records or records of past purchases)
- Educational, professional or employment-related information
