Career Paths at DHI Mortgage

Mortgage Loan Originator

Mortgage Loan Originators are the sales force of our business, guiding borrowers through the mortgage process from application through closing. They excel at developing relationships with customers, D.R. Horton communities and other clients.

Loan Processor

Mortgage Loan Processors are the liaison between the Mortgage Loan Originator and the Underwriter. They maintain direct communication with all parties to prepare the loan for approval and facilitate a successful closing.

Underwriters evaluate each mortgage loan to determine the overall credit risk, adherence to agency and investor guidelines, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Underwriters have strong organizational skills to meet deadlines and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Loan Closer

Loan Closers review each mortgage loan prior to closing to make sure it meets all the conditions necessary to fund the loan. They also review all completed and signed closing documents.

DHI Mortgage Home Buyers Club®

DHI Mortgage Home Buyers Club is a program that helps borrowers prepare for successful homeownership. Credit Consultants and Processors work with borrowers to identify strategies for improving their overall creditworthiness.
